A Place of Possibilities

The Morristown Beard School motto, Ad Astra Per Aspera, means “To the Stars Through Adversity.” At MBS, rigor is reimagined, collaboration is at the heart of everything we do, and students are encouraged to explore what’s possible. Our students are learners and thinkers, artists and writers, analysts and readers, athletes and leaders, often all at once. Here, students are known, challenged, supported, and inspired to discover their strengths, pursue their passions, and make a meaningful impact.

Grades 6-8

The Middle School at MBS is a place where students are encouraged to explore, take risks, and discover who they are as learners and individuals. Through engaging academics, meaningful relationships, and opportunities to pursue their interests, students build confidence, develop independence, and become active members of the MBS community.

Grades 9-12

In the Upper School, students are challenged by a rigorous, innovative curriculum while growing in a collaborative community. With opportunities to explore their interests, pursue deeper learning, and take on leadership roles, students develop the skills, confidence, and independence to make the most of their MBS experience and prepare for what comes next.
